About

A walking tour on 7th September in North Pembrokeshire

This area is a bit of a cauldron of magical futuristic houses, politics, businesses, projects. If you want ideas of how we could develop our Wales and our world differently, this is a good place to start.

We will see different building materials and insulations - internal wall, structural, cork external wall. There is a village and a community that are off-grid and produce all their power by sun and water, as well as others who are on the grid and have wind turbines, ground source heat pumps and solar technology. You will hear the value of solar thermal, the vital principles of good wood heating and the advantages of an electric car share scheme. There will be time to see the veg gardens and land based businesses and buy their products.

There is no substitute for grilling the people who have done it and live with it.

A founding influence in the area was John Seymour, grand-father of self sufficiency. The tour on Monday 7th starts on John's farm where he was buried, with words from his daughter.
